UN Court Jails Former Croatian General for War Crimes

The former Croatian general Ante Gotovina has been jailed for crimes against humanity by the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague. It found him guilty of orchestrating a campaign of murder and plunder to drive some 200,000 Serbs from a rebel enclave as Croat forces retook the Serb-controlled Krajina region in 1995.
