UN Calls for Immediate End to Violence in Syria

Kofi Annan has called on President Bashar al-Assad to implement the United Nations' proposed peace plan immediately. The Syrian state news agency says President Assad is working to make the plan a success, but government security forces continue to bombard cities and towns in the country.
