Storm-Mangled Crane Threatens Manhattan Streets

Sandy's high winds snapped the top of a massive crane at a highrise apartment building near Central Park, forcing the evacuation of surrounding streets and buildings. No one was hurt, but the crane remains blowing in the wind, and some hapless inspector will have to decide what to do next.
