Performing monkeys have been part of Indonesian street life for generations, providing character to street corners and a livelihood to the monkey masters. But the circus featuring masked monkeys which brings joy to children hides a cruel training regime for the animals. And the long-held tradition is not likely to change, as Al Jazeera's Step Vaessen reports from Jakarta. (26 March 2011)
