Saudi Horror Movie Enthralls Jeddah Film Buffs

"Hidden Evil," which director Dr. Fahad Ghazouli claims is Saudi Arabia's first horror film, has been screened in Jeddah as part of the 5th Asian Consul Generals Club Film Festival, hosted by the Consul General of Japan. The screening is a rare event in Saudi Arabia, where there is a significant amount of censorship in art and media. Cinemas and theaters are completely banned, leaving Saudi film fans with little choice but to travel to neighboring countries to watch movies.
