Raw Video: Egyptians Use Slogans, Video Projectors to Protest Military Rule
January 14, 2012 from Ahram Online
The Kazeboon (Liars) campaign met Friday at Cairo's Kit Kat Square before marching through the streets of the Imbaba neighborhood chanting slogans against SCAF, the ruling military council. Similar rallies have been taking place throughout Egypt, aiming to raise awareness at a local level about rights violations that have taken place since the army took power in February 2011. At Friday's demonstration, protesters marched for hours through small side streets bringing revolutionary slogans learned from Tahrir to local neighborhoods. When the march reached its intended destination and organizers began to set up equipment to show videos of army violations, a small number of local residents complained aggressively and threatened violence, forcing the demonstrators to march to another location to show the videos.
