President: Ecuador Analyzing Assange Asylum Request in 'Serious Way'

Julian Assange's request for political asylum is being considered by Ecuador, the country's president Rafael Correa said, after the WikiLeaks founder took refuge in the country's embassy in London. "We are analyzing Julian Assange's asylum request in a very serious and responsible way," said Correa.
