Nigerian Authorities Demolish Slum in Lagos

In an attempt to clean up the city, the Nigerian government displaced nearly 100,000 residents during the demolition of the Makoko Slum in Lagos. Slum dwellers claim there was no official warning made by the authorities before the demolition took place. Anguish and chaos ensue as the former residents plead with the government for assistance in relocating them.
