Massive 'Suicide Blast' Targets Syrian Police in Damascus

Several people are reported to have been killed and dozens hurt by a bomb blast in the Syrian capital Damascus. State television says a suicide bomber blew himself up at a traffic light in the central district of Miden, where protests have intensified recently against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. Footage broadcast by Syrian television appears to suggest a police bus was hit. However most of the victims are thought to be civilians.
