Taliban Victim Malala Yousafzai Dreamed of Being a Doctor
October 09, 2012 from The New York Times
Malala Yousafzai breaks down in tears as she talks of her dreams of studying to become a doctor in Pakistan, where the Taliban has banned classes for the 50,000 schoolgirls in the Swat Valley. This New York Times documentary focuses on Malala when she was 11 years old and her supportive dad, a headmaster at a former private school for girls, just as classes were about to be closed. Yesterday, Malala, now 14, was shot in the head by members of the Taliban.
