Radovan Karadzic Demands Praise for Wartime Role as His Genocide Trial Begins

WARNING: Graphic Content. Radovan Karadzic, former Bosnian Serb leader says he deserves praise, not condemnation, for his actions during the Balkan wars. Karadzic is accused of the massacre of Bosnian Muslims in 1995. Appearing on the first day of his defense at the Hague Karadzic is hoping to convince judges of his innocence in the bloody 1992-95 Bosnian conflict, but it could take him up to two years to finish presenting his case. Al Jazeera's Nick Spicer reports from the Hague.
