Gaddafi Strongholds Proving Difficult for NTC

One of the last strongholds of deposed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is coming under renewed attack from the forces of the new National Transitional Council. Over the weekend, the interim government's fighters pushed towards Sirte, before withdrawing on Sunday to allow NATO airstrikes to pave the way. Sirte is located between the capital, Tripoli, and the eastern city of Benghazi, both of which are now controlled by the transitional government.
