Former Liberian President Convicted of Crimes Against Humanity

Charles Taylor, the former President of Liberia, has been found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity by a UN-backed special court. He is the first former head of state to be convicted of war crimes since the Nuremberg Trials after the Second World War.
