Europeans Mark May Day with Anti-Austerity Protests

Tens of thousands of people have descended on streets across the world to mark International Workers' Day. Big protests are also taking place across Europe, particularly in the hardest-hit countries such as Greece and Spain, where governments have resorted to austerity measures leading to the loss of jobs and social security in the wake of credit crisis.
