Dozens Arrested as Police Clear 'Occupy' Camps Across the US

Police drove hundreds of anti-Wall Street demonstrators from weeks-old encampments in Portland and arrested more than 50 of them, erecting a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire to prevent protestors from re-entering the park. Authorities in Oakland, California, warned Occupy campers that a similar crackdown was coming. Authorities in Denver forced protestors to leave a downtown encampment, and arrested four. In Salt Lake City, police arrested 19 people on Saturday when demonstrators refused to leave a park. And in New York state, police arrested 25 Occupy Albany protestors after they defied a curfew in a city-owned park.
