China: Protests Shut Down Petrochemical Project

Residents took to the streets in Ningbo this past week to protest a proposed petrochemical factory. State broadcaster CCTV reports that the protests had both a patriotic and environmentalist message, resulting in the decision by city officials to halt the project.
