Car Bomb Hits Press TV in Syria as US Tightens Chokehold on Iranian Media

Press TV reports that an explosion in the Syrian capital Damascus destroyed several Press TV and Al-Alam vehicles. Meanwhile, three US senators have introduced a proposal as an amendment to previous unilateral sanctions against Iran. As part of the new proposal, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting and its head will be blacklisted. This comes as European sanctions against Iran have forced Press TV and other Iranian satellite channels off the air in many parts of Europe and the US, and after a Press TV reporter in Damascus was killed by sniper fire in September.
