Algeria Kidnappers Vowed: We'll Slaughter Americans

The hostage death toll in Algeria has climbed to 37 foreign nationals after investigators found more bodies, including nine Japanese workers, Reuters is reporting. Meanwhile, a chilling audiotape has surfaced with one of the kidnappers vowing on the phone during the seige that they would "slaughter American" hostages, according to ABC News. One-eyed veteran Islamist fighter Mokhtar Belmokhtar has claimed responsibility for the attack on behalf of al Qaeda.
