        <link>http://news.linktv.org/videos/iran-tensions-is-media-hype-driving-us-to-war?start=0</link>
<description>As tensions rise over Iran's nuclear ambitions, and amid allegations of tit-for-tat assassinations between Iran and Israel, guests Glenn Greenwald and Reza Marashi say the US media seems more interested in encouraging war than promoting peace.</description>

<media:text>Tensions between Israel and Iran have intensified with bomb blasts targeting Israeli diplomats in India and Georgia and Iranian accusations of Israeli responsibility for the assassinations of Iranian scientists. Iran, meanwhile, is claiming significant new advances in its nuclear program, citing new uranium enrichment centrifuges and domestically made reactor fuel. &quot; If you listen to the media, you would see Iran as this sort of irrational aggressor, lashing out arbitrarily at other nations and specifically Israel and the United States for no reason,&quot; says Glenn Greenwald, a constitutional law attorney and political and legal blogger for Salon.com. &quot; What's so amazing about that is it completely ignores the context of what the United States and Israel have been doing to Iran.&quot; We're also joined by Reza Marashi of the National Iranian American Council. &quot; What makes [conflict] so dangerous, and increasingly likely, is there is little to no communication going on between the parties, Marashi says. &quot; And when you do not communicate, that increases the likelihood for misperceptions and miscalculations.&quot;</media:text>

<media:text>The Iranian terror cell that accidentally detonated explosives in Bangkok were planning to attack Israeli diplomats. That's the word from Thai security officials who cited the similarity of the bombs used in New Delhi, Tbilisi, and Bangkok. Thai authorities are holding two men, a third is now in custody in Malaysia, and a fourth suspect has been named. Mohamed Khazei was remanded in a Bangkok court and has reportedly confessed to his involvement. The second is Saeid Moradi, whose leg was blown off in the blast. The third Iranian, identified as Masoud Sedaghatzadeh, was detained in Malaysia, where he fled after the blast. Thailand is now demanding his extradition. A Bangkok court has also issued an arrest warrant for an Iranian woman named Laila Rohani, who rented the house where the bomb exploded.</media:text>

A man, thought to be Iranian, has had his legs blown off in Bangkok after a bomb he was carrying exploded. Earlier, a blast rocked a house the man was reportedly renting with Iranians in the Thai capital. Two men escaped as police moved in; a third threw an explosive device at a taxi after it failed to stop. Then, aiming a bomb at police, he caused himself serious injury. On Monday, bomb attacks targeted Israeli embassy staff in India and Georgia. Israel accused Iran and its Lebanese ally Hezbollah of involvement, which Tehran denied.</media:text>

Israeli officials said at least two people were wounded in the blast near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi. Meanwhile, Israel said Georgian police dismantled a bomb targeting Israeli embassy employees in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran of being behind the attacks on Tel Aviv's two embassies in India and Georgia. Tehran denied the accusation, considering it to be part of Israel's propaganda war.

Israeli diplomats have been the target of recurring attacks in a number of countries. This time, the assailants targeted the Israeli embassies in India and Georgia. Israeli officials said a bomb exploded in New Delhi, while another was dismantled in Tbilisi. The two attacks did not lead to any fatalities; however, Indian Interior Ministry said two drivers and the wife of a diplomat were wounded in the bombing near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi. According to a spokesman for the Israeli embassy, the New Delhi blast occurred this afternoon, the result of a bomb planted in a diplomat's car. The Israeli prime minister, who described the incident as terrorism, was quick to accuse Tel Aviv's enemies in Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Guest, Male #3 (Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli PM)
Iran, which is behind the two operations, is the top initiator of terror in the world. The Israeli government and security institutions will continue to work with the security institutions of the two countries against the terrorist operations.

Reporter, Male #2
Coinciding with the Delhi incident, a spokesman for the Georgian Interior Ministry said a bomb was planted inside the car of a driver who works for the Israeli embassy in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, and that the police managed to dismantle the bomb. So far, no party has claimed responsibility for the two incidents. However, Netanyahu said Israel had recently foiled similar attacks in Azerbaijan and Thailand. Iran denied responsibility for the attacks on the two Israeli embassies in Georgia and India, considering Israel's accusations to be part of its propaganda war against Iran. This leaves the door open for further speculation.</media:text>

<media:text>Thousands of protesters have been rallying for several days now in Georgia with the goal to overthrow President Mikhail Saakashvili. The opposition has vowed to take radical action by Wednesday saying that the current regime must go by then. Russia has condemned the dispersal of demonstrations with tear-gas and rubber bullets, saying it violates fundamental human rights. Opposition parties claim early elections are needed to stop what they're calling a &quot;criminal&quot; regime leading the country to disaster. The main opposition leader Nino Burdzhanadze told RT that people will continue to protest even if the government uses force. </media:text>
