<media:text>The results are in, and the Kadima faction now has a new leader. It was a landslide victory for former defense minister Shaul Mofaz over incumbent chairperson Tzipi Livni, sparking widespread speculation over Livni's political future. Sixty-two percent of voters favored the change in leadership, unseating the former chairwoman in a major upset. Of the 95 thousand Kadima members, just 41 percent showed up at polling stations to cast their ballots; the low voter turnout seems to have helped Mofaz secure his victory.
