The issue of blocking Syrian satellite channels is raising questions.

Reporter, Male #1
Once again, Syrian media is under attack. Journalists are being targeted, and media institutions are being suspended from satellite broadcasting systems. The Syrian government announced that the administration of the European satellite Hotbird blocked Syrian TV and the Drama channel, implementing previous sanctions imposed by the Arab League and the European Union on Syrian media. It forced those involved to invite their viewers to get the signal from the Russian satellite.

Reporter, Male #1
This decision raised a series of questions in Syria revolving around the issues of freedom of the media, double standards, and how some express anger over the jamming of some channels, while others decide to cancel official media outlets without any credible reasons.

Guest, Male #2
As media professionals and researchers, we see many media channels in the world, some of which are also insulting and immoral, but they're available on satellite. At the same time, a voice is silenced, like the voices of the Syrian satellite channel and the Drama channel. If we were to say the Syrian satellite channel is insulting, then why was the Drama channel also blocked? What does that channel offer? What does the Drama channel offer in general? The problem lies in the double standards that are used. There are clear, honest, and absolute double standards.

Guest, Male #2
The political principles of the West are now being adopted in the media. We are speaking out because we're proud of our media. Our media has been successful, and has developed. It presents a real and rational image. But they just want one voice to be heard: The voice of demagoguery, the voice of the jungle, it's the jungle they represent.

Reporter, Male #1
It is surprising that the Drama satellite channel was blocked, a channel that only broadcasts art shows.

Guest, Male #3
Syrian journalists and Syrian TV personnel say that had it not been for the power and influence of the satellite channel, which broadcasts the truth, then serious efforts to block it would not have been exerted by Arab and Western satellite providers.</media:text>

In Syria, the battles are continuing as new sanctions were imposed by the European Union. Damascus denies using cluster bombs in the conflict, and assures that it does not own these types of bombs. And on a tour to the region, UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi is delivering Iranian proposals to solve the Syrian crisis.

Reporter, Female #2
UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi denies he suggested sending a peacekeeping force to Syria. Ibrahimi's statement was issued from Baghdad, which he traveled to with Iranian proposals, and where he met with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Al-Maliki called on Brahimi to take action quickly to preserve Syria's unity and the security of the region, as he warned the UN-Arab League envoy of Syria's crisis, considering it a danger to its people, neighbors, and world peace.

Reporter, Female #2
Brahimi had met with a number of Iranian officials and received Iranian proposals, which according to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian includes a transition phase in Syria under the supervision of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad that would lead to presidential and parliamentary elections. The proposals also includes ending the violence, implementing a cease-fire, and an end to sending weapons and endorsing armed groups, and conducting a national dialogue between the opposition and the government.

Guest, Male #1 (Lakhdar Brahimi, UN-Arab League Envoy)
There are some ideas in your proposals which can help by adding to that forwarded by other nations who are also important with regards to the Syrian situation.

Reporter, Female #2
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius announced that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov informed France that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will never leave and will remain until further notice, noting that Russia's stance in favor of al-Assad is becoming increasingly stubborn. Fabius' words came after a European Union meeting imposing additional sanctions on Syrian figures and companies. In Doha, the opposition General Secretariat of the Syrian National Council held meetings presided by Abdelbaset Sieda to discuss the situation on the ground and the political situation in Syria, in addition to relief efforts for refugees.

Reporter, Female #2
At the Turkish border, the new confrontation was with planes. Ankara said that its military fighter jets forced an Armenian plane to land in the eastern part of the country to search it before heading to the Syrian city of Aleppo. The Armenian Yerevan was quick to deny the stance by announcing that the Armenian cargo plane was transporting humanitarian aid to Syria, and had asked permission to use Turkish airspace beforehand, and that it was agreed that it would land in a Turkish airport.

Reporter, Female #2
On the ground, Syrian opposition websites posted scenes of a massacre that it said occurred in Daraya in the countryside of Damascus by the Syrian regime. In Aleppo, eight soldiers from the regime's army were killed in an attack by a booby-trapped car that opponents had set up at a Syrian army checkpoint at the entrance of the city. In Idlib, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that clashes are continuing for the third consecutive day near the largest military base in the region, the Wadi Daif base in Maarat al-Numaan.

Reporter, Female #2
On the other hand, Syrian TV said that Bashar al-Assad issued a decree to form a committee to repair the Great Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo, which is the oldest historical Islamic landmark in Syria, and was burned due to clashes in the mosque. Syrian TV showed images from inside the mosque and said that opposition fighters had wreaked havoc to its contents, as opposition websites denied that the Free Army had lost control of the mosque.</media:text>

The semi-official Iranian Student News Agency reported that protestors gathered in the largest square in the city of Nishapur, in northern Iran, to protest the rising price of chicken. Protestors held President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's administration responsible for the increased price of basic commodities in general. Such protests are rare, so they indicate that the impact of Western sanctions on the country is getting worse.

Crowds at a store in Iran are hoping to buy chicken after its price was recently increased to four dollars per kilogram. The increase in the price of chicken that citizens enjoy here has turned into a controversial crisis.

Reporter, Female #1
It reached its peak in the city of Nishapur in the northern part of the country, where many gathered in the city's main square to hold a rare demonstration against the government. And according to the semi-official Iranian Student News Agency, protestors chanted slogans condemning the government. They say the government allowed doubling the price of chicken in the past two months.

Reporter, Female #1
The price of chicken, like that of other basic food supplies, recently witnessed a noticeable hike following the devaluation of the Iranian currency that was caused by international sanctions, which were imposed on Iran because of its nuclear program. Until today, Iranian chicken production has relied on feed supplies from abroad. Observers do not anticipate widespread demonstrations due to the chicken crisis, even though President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is under growing criticism over his economic policy, which has led to an increased rate of inflation. On social networking sites, Iranians are joking about the emergence of a new social gap. They are sarcastically categorizing some people as being above or below the "chicken line." Wafa Zian, BBC.</media:text>

The Arabs have offered President Bashar al-Assad a safe exit in exchange for his quick resignation. However, Syrian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Jihad al-Maqdisi confirmed that the people will decide, not the Arabs. Meanwhile, clashes are continuing in Aleppo, and the army has taken control of most neighborhoods in Damascus.

Reporter, Female #2
After fierce clashes erupted in the neighborhood of al-Mazza in Damascus between regime forces and members of the Free Syrian Army, the Maher al-Assad-led Fourth Division, supported by helicopters, was able to regain control of most neighborhoods in Damascus, according to confirmations by the official authorities. Syrian television broadcast images of the identification cards of those it referred to as terrorists, indicating that they are Jordanians and Egyptians.

The Syrian Revolution's General Commission reported the resumption of violent shelling this morning in several neighborhoods in the city of Homs, as fierce clashes continue between regime forces and opposition fighters in the neighborhoods of the city of Aleppo. On the other hand, official authorities denied that clashes occurred in Aleppo, as state television broadcast video clips of the city's streets, assuring that it is calm. Meanwhile, the Syrian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Jihad al-Maqdisi, held a press conference during which he condemned the Arab ministers' call on Assad to resign, and discussed the issue of biological weapons.

Guest Male #1 (Jihad Maqdisi, Syrian Foreign Ministry Spokesman)
We confirm that chemical and biological weapons will never be used. To reiterate: they will never be used during the crisis in Syria regardless of the developments on the Syrian front. The different types of weapons are stored and secured by the Syrian armed forces, and are under its direct supervision and will never be used, unless Syria is subjected to a foreign aggression. At the same time, the ministry is warning of another concerning issue, and that is the possibility of terrorist groups armed from abroad amid the increasing failure to hit the political regime in Syria. Arming these groups with tactical bombs or mines that contain biological substances and, God forbid, detonating them in a village then accusing the Syrian forces of it.

The change in Mr. Annan's mission is not in the hands of the Arab ministers. As for stepping down and such matters, we tell everyone, to the Arab League, and to everyone, that the Syrian people make their own decisions. They are the ones who decide the fate of governments, presidents, states, etc. They are the ones who participate in a national dialogue.

Reporter, Female #2
Arab foreign ministers had agreed during their meeting to offer Syrian President Bashar al-Assad a safe exit in exchange for relinquishing power.

Guest, Male #3 (Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatari Prime Minister)
The Syrian opposition must now unite, internally and abroad, to form a transitional government. This does not mean that any transitional government that is formed now will remain in power forever.

Reporter, Female #2
The Iraqi government announced that Iraq rejected the Arab League's call on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to resign, saying that al-Assad's fate can only be decided by the Syrian people. As for Russia, President Vladimir Putin assured that toppling al-Assad may lead to a continued war, and stressed that Syria's future is decided through negotiations, and not on the basis of victory or loss in the conflict. And with that, the European Union decided to tighten its sanctions against Damascus and implement a weapons ban. In their meeting in Brussels, EU ministers confirmed that the ban will include the Syrian airline which is prohibited from landing in Europe, and additional people will be added to the list of those sanctioned.</media:text>

<media:text>The regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has suffered the first known defection from its diplomatic ranks. In a statement to the news network Al Jazeera, Syria's ambassador to Iraq, Nawaf al-Fares, announced his resignation and his new allegiance to Syria's rebels.

Nawaf al-Fares: "I'm announcing my resignation as Syria's ambassador to Iraq. I'm also announcing my withdrawal from the Ba'ath Party, and I call on all party members to do the same, because the regime has used it as a tool to oppress the people and their aspirations to freedom and dignity. I'm announcing, from this moment on, that I'm siding with the revolution in Syria. It's my natural place in these difficult circumstances which Syria is going through."

U.S., Allies Propose New Syria Sanctions

The defection of Syria's ambassador to Iraq, Nawaf al-Fares, comes as President Bashar al-Assad faces the threat of new international sanctions at the United Nations. On Thursday, the United States and three Security Council allies submitted a new proposal that would give Assad a 10-day deadline to implement an international ceasefire plan or face new sanctions. The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, said the sanctions would shore up the work of international monitors inside Syria.

Susan Rice: "The fact is that UNSMIS, regrettably, is not at present able to do the job that this council mandated it to do, because of the regime's persistent refusal to take the basic steps to halt the violence. Without this council taking concrete measures to increase the pressure for the Annan and Geneva plans to be implemented by the government, it's not plausible to assume that UNSMIS will be any more able to fulfill its mandate in the future than it is now."

Syrian Diplomat: Sanctions Could Derail Peace Plan

In response to the proposal suggested by the United States and three Security Council allies, Syria's ambassador to the United Nations, Bashar Jaafari, said the threat of new sanctions could derail the international ceasefire plan.

Bashar Jaafari: "We are fully committed towards the success of Mr. Kofi Annan's plan. But at the same time, we are fully warning everybody that the other efforts deployed by here and there, by this country or that country, to derail the six-points plan of Mr. Kofi Annan from its initial track, would be extremely dangerous."

<media:text>The United States and European Union are calling for new sanctions on Syria similar to those used against the Gaddafi regime ahead of the NATO attack on Libya. At an international "Friends of Syria" gathering in Paris, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton invoked the threat of Chapter 7 under the U.N. Charter, which ranges from economic embargoes to military force. The news come as the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has apparently suffered its highest-level defection to date. On Thursday, opposition activists said Syrian General Manaf Tlas, a member of Assad's inner circle, had fled to Turkey, reportedly over his anger at the Syrian government's killing of civilians.

Joining us now from our Tel Aviv studio to discuss regional development is Middle East expert Dr. Ra'anan Gissin. Good evening, Dr. Gissin.

Guest, Male #3 (Dr. Ra'anan Gissin, Middle East Analyst)
Good evening, Erin. It's good to be back.

Presenter, Female #1
Nice to have you with us. Now, Ra'anan, as you know, the Prime Minister Netanyahu set off on his North American diplomatic mission this morning. What needs to be accomplished for this trip to be considered a success?

Guest, Male #3
I think the most important thing right now, it seems, on the face of it, would be a joint, very clear and unequivocal statement that if and when sanctions fail, the other options which are on the table will be exercised. Better, I would say, and hopefully that will be reflected in the statement, not by Israel alone, but with Israel, the United States leading, and perhaps the whole coalition of countries which are facing the Iranian threat. Because, mind you, you know, the real problem originally, when the Iranian issue arose, that Israel is not alone here, and I think one of the things that we have to come out of this meeting, or that would be the desired outcome of the meeting for the Netanyahu delegation, is to come out with a clear understanding, where the president unequivocally says to the world, and says to the Iranians, you have to see, if you don't comply with the sanctions, then we will exercise the other options, and the United States will be with Israel. Israel is not alone in this game. This game is Iran versus the world, not just Iran versus Israel.

Presenter, Female #1
We know that the leaders are going to try to repair a united front for the TV cameras. But if there is trouble developing behind the scenes, how would we know that?

Guest, Male #3
Well, there's not doubt that, I would say, first of all, there is more understandings than there are problems. Because over the years, I would say maybe the past five years, the United States teams and Israeli teams have been working together on all, I would say, covering the whole gamut of contingency plans if and when there will be a need for some sort of joint action. And I'm saying there is much more cooperation than there is misunderstanding or divisions. The divisions and the differences lie when two main sound bites, the deadline and the Red Line, beyond which you know it is clear that this is the point of no return, that Iran is going to go nuclear, and there is the need to exercise other options. And what is the deadline? When should that be exercised? I think these are the two issues that the teams are trying to work out, and I think it will be reflected in the statement that will be issued whether there is an understanding of that. One thing is clear: the message to Iran coming out of this joint meeting and the joint statement should be unequivocally clear, that there are sanctions, but behind those sanctions, there's also a loaded gun. If the sanctions don't work, the gun will be operated.</media:text>

Our BBC correspondent in Yemen said at least 11 people, including two women, were killed in an artillery shelling launched by the Yemeni army on Freedom Square and a number of neighborhoods in the southern Yemeni city of Taiz. The artillery shelling comes in response to the gunfire of anti-regime gunmen who targeted the government forces deployed in the streets of the city. Two people were killed yesterday, including a 14-year-old, in a similar artillery shelling.

More innocent people are falling in the whirlpools of the escalating violence in Yemen. There is no foreseeable end to this bitter conflict that has cost the lives of children, women, and men. In the last 48 hours, Taiz in central Yemen has been a platform for the most violent shelling launched by President Ali Abdullah Saleh's forces. They shelled residential neighborhoods in the city, believing that armed opposition fighters are entrenched in several buildings there. In the face of such violence, anti-Saleh protests this Friday carried the slogan "no immunity for killers" in various parts of the country. In the remote southern city of Aden, demonstrators demanded to try the head of the regime and hold his associates accountable for what the protestors referred to as murder crimes committed by Saleh's forces against civilians. In northern Yemen, protestors in Sa'ada Province refused to grant Saleh immunity and demanded to take him to trial soon. In addition, protests in central, eastern and western Yemen are calling for refusing Saleh any guarantees that exempt him from being held accountable. In the capital Sana'a, this Friday's protests were divided into two: one was for Saleh and the other against him. On as-Sabeen Street, thousands of Saleh's proponents chanted their support for the president and for him staying in power. Meanwhile on as-Siteen Street, protestors repeated their demands for the downfall of the regime and the trial of Saleh. These protests continue amid reports that the West is moving towards imposing sanctions on the Yemeni president, his entourage, and his senior associates.

Israel, backed by the West and outside the framework of any international accountability, continues to engage in double a standard alongside the US's stupid and blatant contradictions. On one hand, the West demands that harsh sanctions be imposed on Iran but at the same time, it encourages Israel to evade its international obligations.

Reporter, Female #2
From time to time, Israel, backed by the US and the West, publicly complains about the Iranian nuclear program. These countries ignore that Israel developed its own nuclear arsenal without any international monitoring. Not only does Israel's massive military arsenal threaten the region, it threatens the entire world. The Israeli occupation entity demands that deadly sanctions be imposed on Tehran, and is backed by French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe. Juppe says it has become necessary to refer the Iranian nuclear issue to the Security Council, calling for imposing harsh sanctions on Tehran in light of the International Atomic Energy Agency's report. These statements obviously reveal the double standards and selective policies adopted by Washington and its allies in relation to Israel, which has possessed nuclear reactors for over five decades. With the help of France, Israel built its nuclear reactor Dimona in 1955 and possesses nearly 200 nuclear bombs. Every single one of these bombs has a destructive power equal to that of the bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. On one hand, they pose a serious threat to the region's peace and security. On the other, they raise issues of justice, imbalance of power, and Israel's intransigence and determination to maintain its military superiority, especially its nuclear power.

Presenter, Female #1
The Russian foreign ministry confirmed that the International Atomic Energy Agency's report on Iran's nuclear program does not contain any new information. In a statement, the Ministry said that because there is no conclusive evidence in the report, the West is resorting to assumptions, doubts, and manipulation of information to create the impression that Iran's nuclear program holds a military component. The allegations also remind us that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. The statement pointed to Tehran's readiness to hold direct talks with the agency and criticized the foundations that the international agency relied on to make these accusations against Iran. The statement also expressed Russia's grave concern that the report will be used on a broad scale to undermine the international community's efforts to find a political and diplomatic solution to the issue. </media:text>

<media:text>We open with the further worsening relations between Israel and Turkey. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan said his country will suspend all of its trade and military ties with Israel. In a thinly veiled threat, Erdogan indicated that Turkish warships will be seen more often in the eastern Mediterranean. Tension between Ankara and Jerusalem reached new heights today following the announcement by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan that he is suspending all military ties with Israel, including those in the field of military trade and that further sanctions are in the pipeline. Erdogan is adamant that Israel must officially apologize for the killing of Turkish citizens on the Gaza-bound flotilla last May and pay compensation to the families. He also said that the naval blockade of Gaza be lifted. </media:text>

A number of protests were held in Syrian cities today, demanding the downfall of the regime, in what activists named the Friday of "death rather than humiliation." According to the revolution's Coordination Committees, protests were held across the neighborhoods of Homs, Idlib, Dara'a, Hama, Latakia, Aleppo, al-Qamishli, in addition to some parts of Damascus and its countryside despite the heavy security presence there. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the deaths of 13 individuals. Eight died in the cities of Arben, Kfar Batna, Doma, and Hamoriyah; three were killed in Homs, and two in Deir az-Zour. For its part, the official news agency SANA reported a number of law enforcement members were injured by armed groups who fired at them at a checkpoint in Talbisa in Homs' countryside. In conjunction with the events in Syria, the European Union imposed a ban on Syrian oil imports in a new punitive measure for what was described as the crackdown on protests in Syria. A British Foreign Ministry spokesman told the BCC that it is expected for the union's foreign ministers to approve the decision either today or tomorrow at their meeting in Sopot, Poland. Syria's oil exports to Europe constitute nearly 20 percent of the Syrian government's income. The British Foreign Ministry said stopping imports of Syrian oil will deprive Syria of an important source of funding. The EU also stopped dealing with Syria's governmental organizations and institutions but the measure has not had any significant impact.

Activists dedicated this song to the Friday of "death rather than humiliation." The song summarizes their anger at what they say is the world's failure to support them. This slogan has a special place in the Syrians' uprising. With it, the residents of Daraa cried out when the protests broke out in the middle of March. Then, it was echoed across most Syrian areas: each with their own accent. Syrians have not been able to mobilize thousands of people since the army entered Syrian cities at the beginning of the month of Ramadan. However, they are still demonstrating to demand not only the downfall of the regime but also the execution of its figureheads. In two weeks, the Syrian intifada or uprising will have completed exactly six months. And the regime continues with its security option to repress the protests and also continues with its version of the same story without any modifications. The regime says a great conspiracy and armed gangs are behind these demonstrations. However, neither the security option nor that narrative has helped the regime bury the protests that keep on growing. This, despite reports by international organizations that point to measures that amount to crimes against humanity carried out by security forces against demonstrators. These scenes show civilians being hit and tortured. Activists who posted these images online say these scenes are the same ones that sparked their intidafa. On that day, security forces arrested children from Daraa and insulted their parents when they demanded their release. People took to the street with the slogan "death rather than humiliation." Those rising up today are restoring that slogan, an indication that nothing has changed in the regime's behavior after all these months. An issue that probably justifies their latest demand for international protection from the regime's violence, as they say. Firas Kilani, BBC.

Activists posted new videos online showing security forces beating civilians in the city of al-Rastan. The images show a number of soldiers looking on without interfering as a security man beats three detainees, asking them if they have weapons as they deny the claim. The video could not be independently verified. </media:text>

Hours before the "Friends of Libya" International Conference began in Paris, Russia recognized the Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC) as the legitimate representative of the country's authority. Meanwhile, Muammar al-Gaddafi affirmed in a new audio speech aired on Syrian TV al-Rai that he will not turn himself in and will continue fighting. In this context, the Libyan Transitional Council has extended its deadline for the surrender of Sirte by one week. The previous deadline that NTC gave Sirte was this coming Saturday. The European Union announced the lifting of sanctions on six Libyan ports, and several oil companies, and banks. On the other hand, the Algerian foreign ministry said it is ready to recognize the NTC on the condition that it forms a government that represents all regions in Libya. Meanwhile, the first session of the international conference to rebuild Libya began in Paris with the participation of 60 countries, including countries that opposed NATO's campaign in Libya. South Africa announced that it will not attend the conference.

The battleground in Libya has temporarily calmed down, but the international movements are not slowing down. The West is accelerating its steps and racing ahead of Tripoli. Who will arrive in Libya first? France, which does not have the patience to sit and wait for a final military resolution for Sirte, is pushing forward with events in Europe. It is convening an international conference during which conventioneers will together reaffirm their friendship with the future Libya, according to Sarkozy's statement after the revolutionaries took control of the capital Tripoli. In Paris, some are shaping Libya's future and drawing a new political roadmap for Libya on which various countries' interests may overlap. The first step is to rebuild Libya's previously fragile infrastructure that was destroyed in the six months of fighting. As part of the West's gesture of its goodwill for Libya's future, Britain, France and the US released several billions of dollars of frozen Libyan assets through a UN decision. The move aimed at supporting the NTC during this sensitive political phase. The West has offered many Eid gifts to the Libyan people. Russia recognized the Transitional Council as the legitimate representative of Libya's authority. Russia lagged behind other Western powers in this regard, but the military outcome on the battleground imposed a political reality that could no longer be ignored. However, this recognition came with Russia's expectation of the NTC to comply with the contracts and agreements previously signed between Moscow and Gaddafi's Tripoli. Furthermore, Algeria, which is also taking part in the conference, expressed its readiness to recognize the Transitional Council on the condition that it forms a government that represents all regions in Libya. This statement may ease the political tension between the two neighboring countries, caused by Algeria's accommodation of Gaddafi's family members. While the deadline given to the Colonel's supporters in Sirte to surrender approaches, Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi insists that the battle is not yet resolved, and Sirte still hides many surprises.

Sirte has more than 20,000 armed men. They have weapons, and they are ready and excited. I tell our men to strike back against the rats; we are entering the fight to achieve victories and to advance.

Revolutionaries believe that Saif al-Islam is trying to draw attention to Sirte to divert it from Bin Jawad in the center of the Libyan deserts.

Guest, Male #3 (Abdul Hakim Belhaj, Commander of the Military Council in Tripoli)
It is imperative that we do not neglect the places that the regime's symbols have escaped to. We will deal with all the areas that the symbols of the former regime are located, and the battle will be resolved militarily.

This supposition is reinforced by Saif al-Islam's failure to appear in person in downtown Tripoli as he did the night before the revolutionaries stormed Bab al-Aziziya. The Transitional Council considers his audio recording as merely a conflicted and misleading message that proves that the regime is sinking after the fall of Tripoli.

In an audio speech broadcast on al-Rai, Gaddafi urged the armed youth to continue fighting in Tripoli. He said he will not surrender. Gaddafi called for continuing to fight for what he referred to as "the liberation of Libya."

Guest, Male #4 (Muammar al-Gaddafi)
All that you have heard, do not believe it. Confront it with rifles, with bullets, let the bullets speak for the Libyan people. If they want a long battle, then let it be a long battle. We will fight on from place to place, from city to city, from valley to valley, from mountain to mountain? this will be a long battle until they realize that they cannot rule Libya without the Libyan people's approval. All tribes are armed and all the people are armed. Let it be a long battle until our victory over them. If they want it to be a long war, then let it be a long war. </media:text>
