Description
Below is an estimate of the list of the major units deployed with the Multi-National Force - Iraq and other U.S. military units operating in Iraq under United States Central Command. It has been compiled through the synthesis of many Wikipedia contributors in 2006–2009. The data below roughly portray the 2009 period, and require further authoritative corroboration.
In military terms, the description of the units involved in an operation is known as the order of battle. NATO and the U.S. Department of Defense define the order of battle as the identification, strength, command structure, and disposition of the personnel, units, and equipment of any military force.
