The Panhellenic Socialist Movement, known mostly by its acronym PA.SO.K., is a centre-left party. It was founded on 3 September 1974 by Andreas Papandreou. In 1981 the PA.SO.K. became Greece's first social democratic party to win a majority in the Hellenic Parliament. It is a member of the Socialist International, the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats and the Party of European Socialists. (via Freebase)
