Description
Beitar Illit Beitar Illit is an Israeli settlement and a city west of Gush Etzion, 10 kilometres south of Jerusalem, in the Judean Mountains of the West Bank. Beitar Illit is one of Israel's largest and most rapidly growing settlements. As of January 2007 it had a population of approximately 35,000. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this. (via Freebase)
